Men's Soccer Celebrates End of the Season
Bryn Athyn, Pa. - The Bryn Athyn men's soccer team held its annual awards banquet Thursday night, as the squad handed out its team awards and honored the 2011 season.

Greg Synnestvedt - Lion’s Award This award recognizes individuals who promote the values of sportsmanship, ethical play in competition, commitment to their team, and charity through service to their community. For his positive attitude, integrity, sportsmanship, and overall character on and off field. Synnestvedt was always able to play physically, but never without respect and care for those around him, and he serves as a true representation of what a Bryn Athyn student athlete should be. |

Dan Cook – Coach’s Award Given annually by the coach to a soccer player who best demonstrates, throughout the season, the true spirit of Bryn Athyn. For the strides he made in his game, for his willingness to step in and develop as a solid defensive midfielder, and for his good-natured attitude and sense of humor that kept morale up throughout a tough season.
Chris Hyatt – Coach’s Award For his body of work over the last three seasons. Hyatt is one of the soundest overall players on the team, and although he was sidelined or hampered by injuries throughout the season, he was always dedicated to practices and games, even when he couldn’t contribute on the field. When on the field, he helped to settle and control the game from end to end. |
|
|
Kellan Schadegg – MVP Schadegg only knows two speeds: 100% and 0%, and he only ever stops when someone knocks the wind out of him. He was the anchor to our defensive line and helped prevent many potential goals with his speed and aggressive play. He also played through a number of serious injuries, and was capable of transitioning the ball up the field when the opportunity arose. The whole team played more confidently when they knew Schadegg was behind them. |
