Three Men's Ice Hockey Players Selected for DVCHC All Star Challenge

Bryn Athyn, Pa. – Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference released nominations for the All Star Challenge.  Bryn Athyn will have three players representing the Lions this coming year. This is the first time in the programs history that players have been awarded with this honor.

"I am excited for the members of our team to be a part of the DVCHC All Star Challenge. I am confident that Ray, Dustin and Blake will represent Bryn Athyn College Hockey very well with great pride, respect and the values that we practice as a team and college. I expect more players from BAC hockey will be invited to events such as this in the near future.", expressed by Head Coach Puscian.

Blake McCurdy tied for most points in the 2010-11 season and earned the teams MVP award. McCurdy scored the overtime goal against Widener this past season to lift the Lions to a win.

Ray Norfo led the team in goals and tied Blake for most points this past season. He also won the Coaches award for 2011-12. Norfo was averaging a goal in every game we played except one.

Dustin showed selflessness last season when he volunteered to fill a position as a defenseman, converting from being a forward. Through his work ethic, he improved to become our best defenseman of the season and developed into a true team leader.

"All three of these athletes play key roles on our team. I am thrilled for these guys to have the opportunity to showcase their skills to the rest of the ACHA. I am very confident that BAC Hockey will be well represented on the All-Star roster.", said  Head Coach Puscian.

The Lions will start their season off on the road in a conference match up against Centenary College on Oct 22, 2011.
