CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Larry Stevenson III had a great shooting day as he finished with a career-high 32 points for the Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team in a 90-70 loss to McDaniel in the consolation game of the Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament Sunday afternoon at DeSales University.
Stevenson III shot a career-best 11-of-16 from the field, including 5-of-6 from 3-point range, in 32 minutes of action to surpass his previous best of 26 points—which came just 15 days ago against Rutgers-Camden. The 32 points are the second-most by a player in the Colonial States Athletic Conference this season.
Haybert Louchie came off the bench to post 10 points, his first double-digit scoring performance in his career.
McDaniel (4-7)—who never trailed—took control of the contest with a 23-10 surge during the mid to late stages of the first half to open up a 37-20 advantage. The Green Terror's lead reached 25 (85-60) with 4:21 left in the game.
Mike Wallace was the Green Terror's leading scorer with 22 points and added eight assists. Caleb Johnson contributed 13 points and a game-high 16 rebounds, while DJ Harper posted 17 points.
McDaniel shot 51.5 percent (34-of-66) from the field and 43.8 percent (14-of-32) from 3-point range. The Lions (3-9) made 48.1 percent (26-of-54) of their shots and 38.1 percent (8-of-21) of their 3-pointers. The Green Terror owned a 42-22 rebounding average.
