Men's golf takes ninth at Ursinus Fall Invitational

POTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's golf took ninth place at the Ursinus Fall Invitational held Tuesday afternoon at the par-71 Raven's Claw Golf Club.

The Lions had a team score of 399 (+115) in the nine-team event. Cabrini University won the Invitational with a score of 313 (+29).

Cody Smith led the way for Bryn Athyn as he turned in a scorecard of 91 (+20) to end the day in 34th place. Julian Lever shot a 100 (+29) for a 41st-place finish. Connor Devereux and James Lockamyeir completed the team scoring as they both shot 104 (+33) and were deadlocked for 42nd.

Alec Grollman rounded out the Bryn Athyn lineup with the 47th-place score of 132 (+61).

Welsey College's Tyler Spielberger had a score of even-par 71 and won the 47-player event in a playoff.

Bryn Athyn's next event is the Alvernia Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Ledgerock Golf Club in Mohnton, Pa.
