MILTON, Mass. – Jimmy Pollock scored his third goal of the season for the Bryn Athyn College men's ice hockey team in a 4-1 loss to Curry College Sunday afternoon in the Ulin Memorial Rink.
With Bryn Athyn (4-13-0) trailing 4-0, Pollock got the Lions on the board with a short-handed goal at the 10:43 mark of the final period. The goal—the Lions' second short-handed goal of the season—was assisted by Trevor Kleckner.
After a scoreless first period, Curry (9-5-2) broke through with a three-goal second period. Billy Vizzo notched the first goal of the contest six seconds after the game's midway point on the power play. Levi Johnson doubled the gap to 2-0 with an even-strength goal just 40 seconds later. Lionel Mauron put the Colonels' third goal on the board at the 15:59 mark of the period.
Viktor Jansson scored the fourth goal with 4:01 gone in the final period.
Vizzo and Johnson both finished the game with one goal and one assist, while Alex Ochterbeck tallied two assists.
Vladimir Cibulka stopped 24 of the 25 shots he faced to earn the win for Curry. McKenzie Chalmers ended the contest with 26 saves on 30 shots.
Curry was 1-for-7 on the power play, while Bryn Athyn was 0-for-7.
Bryn Athyn returns home to face SUNY Canton on Friday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. in Junge Pavilion.
