Mens tennis falls to Eastern 5-4

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's tennis was edged out by Eastern University, 5-4, in a non-conference match Monday afternoon on the Gladish Tennis Courts.

Zach Brock and Camden Cacolice earned the Lions' first point of the afternoon as the tandem defeated James Blizzard and Thomas Lesher in the No. 3 flight, 8-5. It was Brock and Cacolice's first match as a doubles team.

Amit Padmanabhan improved to 3-0 at the top of the Bryn Athyn singles lineup as he picked up a hard-fought 6-4, 7-5 victory over Ryan Hamilton. Brock completed a perfect day on the court with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles against Blizzard. Jacob Elder was an 8-4 winner against Lesher in the No. 6 flight to go to 2-0.

Bryn Athyn travels to DeSales for a non-conference match on Wednesday, March 28 at 3:30 p.m.
