Lions tripped up by Eastern

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's tennis team was denied its first three-match winning streak of the season by Eastern University Tuesday afternoon as the visiting Eagles defeated the Lions 8-1 in a non-conference match Tuesday afternoon on the Gladish Courts.

Cole Lambertus was victorious in his second consecutive outing by coming back from a one-set deficit to knock off Sean Kline at No. 6 singles, 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).

The Lions' top doubles performance came from the No. 3 tandem of Tanner Schroeder and Matthew McCabe who suffered an 8-5 loss.

Bryn Athyn returns to Colonial States Athletic Conference play on Friday, March 29 when the Lions host Clarks Summit at 3:30 p.m.
