Clark and Hicks Named to NEAC All Conference Teams

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2016-17 Women’s Basketball All-Conference selections.

Kristina Clark has been named to the NEAC First Team All Conference for the second year in a row.

Clark averaged 19.8 points per game this season, which ranked fourth overall in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) statistical standings. She also averages 14 rebounds per game, ranking second in the NEAC. Her field goal percentage (53.4%) has been the best performance in her collegiate career while leading Bryn Athyn College. Recorded 355 rebounds this season, eclipsing the 1,000 rebound mark for her career. She finishes her career with 1749 points and 1037 rebounds.

Clark single game best performance this season, and perhaps her overall career, came on January 12th, 2017 when the Lions defeated Wilson College 87-66. Clark scored season high 38 points on nearly 70% shooting from the field (11-of-16) and 89% from the foul line (16-of-18). Not only did she provide an offense attack, she also hauled down her career high 32 rebounds, which 15 of them were on offense. She had a seven game stretch where she grabbed more than 10 rebounds while scoring in double figure this entire season. 

Clark had five games with 30 points or more, seven games with 20 points or more, and 13 games with 10 points or more. Clark only had four games which she grabbed single digit rebound numbers, but they were not far from double figures.

Kristina Clark has been named to the NEAC First Team All Conference for the second year in a row.

Samantha Hicks has been named to the NEAC Second Team All Conference. 

Hicks averaged 12.3 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per game.  She ranks 3rd in the NEAC with 117 assists and 16th with 41 steals.  She had a career high 21 points in the overtime loss to St. Elizabeth in the first round of the NEAC playoffs. She had her best defensive game against Gallaudet with nine steals and seven rebounds.

She had 15 games were scored double digits and in the month of February she scored double digits in nine games out of 10 contests.
