ROSEMONT, Pa. – Bryn Athyn College junior goalkeeper Allie Warren capped off the women's soccer team's first week of the season by taking home the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) women's soccer defensive player of the week award Monday.
Warren posted a 1-0-1 record, a 1.80 goals against average, 13 saves, and a .765 save percentage. In the Lions' opening match of the 2018 season, Warren stopped eight shots, including one on a breakaway in overtime, in a 3-3 draw against Penn State Abington on Sept. 5. Warren came up with five saves in Bryn Athyn's 4-1 road victory at Old Westbury on Sept. 8. The lone goal by the Panthers was an own goal.
This CSAC honor is Warren's fourth career weekly award from a conference office--earning the defensive player of the week award three times last season from the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
After the first week of the season, Warren is ranked second in the CSAC with that 1.80 goals against average.
Bryn Athyn (1-0-1) is back on the road for a non-conference clash at Immaculata on Monday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m.
