Titano scores for Bryn Athyn in road loss to Neumann

ASTON, Pa. – Bryn Athyn College freshman Tori Titano scored her team-leading seventh goal of the 2018 season in the Lions' 6-1 non-conference loss to host Neumann University Wednesday night.

Titano netted the Bryn Athyn (2-3-1) goal in the 81st minute with an assist from Gracelyn Bullard, Bullard's first helper of 2018. Bullard delivered a pass into the box that broke Titano free from the Knight (4-5-0) defense and Titano did the rest as she put the ball into the far corner.

Neumann owned a 3-0 lead after 45 minutes of play. Taylor Garman scored the Knights' first two goals in the opening 12:08 of the contest. The score remained 2-0 until Danni Elman found the back of the net at 43:40.

After Titano broke up the shutout, Neumann scored three more times to produce the final margin. Garman completed her hat-trick at 81:40 to allow Neumann to reclaim its three-goal advantage. Then, Kyla Apallski and Erin Ridler scored in the final 5:03.

Allie Warren stopped 11 shots for the Lions in the first 81:40. Lauren Beck closed out the final 8:20 and recorded one save. Neumann's Anna Attardi made three saves.

Bryn Athyn returns to General Ronald K. Nelson Field on Saturday, Sept. 29 for its Colonial States Athletic Conference debut against Wilson.
