Dewees selected CSAC women's volleyball player of the week

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Bryn Athyn College junior outside hitter Hannah Dewees was selected as the Colonial States Athletic Conference women's volleyball player of the week by the conference office Monday.

Dewees—who earned her first career weekly conference honor—averaged 8.5 kills and had a .101 hitting percentage in an important 1-1 week for the Lions. In a 3-0 victory over Wilson on the final day of the regular season, Dewees posted 11 kills, five digs, and one service ace to help the Lions secure a first-round home game for the CSAC Tournament. On Oct. 24, she had six kills, seven digs, and two service aces in a 3-0 loss to Notre Dame (Md.).

In the CSAC, she is ranked sixth with 2.75 kills per set and seventh with 3.3 points per set, both team-highs. Dewees leads the team with 187 kills and is third with 152 digs and fourth with 30 service aces.

Bryn Athyn (8-12, 4-4 CSAC) hosts Wilson in the first round of the CSAC Tournament on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. in Asplundh Field House.
