Bryn Athyn volleyball trio named to 2018 All-CSAC Team

ROSEMONT, Pa. – The trio of Hannah Dewees, Briana Cliney, and Jenessa Lombardi all represented Bryn Athyn College on the 2018 All-Colonial States Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Team as honorable mention selections that was released on Tuesday. The team was voted on by the conference's nine head coaches.

Dewees has had a career-year as a junior for the Lions in 2018, setting career highs with 187 kills, a .122 attacking percentage, 30 service aces, and 223 points. She is the team leader in kills, third in digs (152), and fourth in aces. Dewees had at least 10 kills in nine matches and a double-double at Clarks Summit on Sept. 26.In the CSAC, Dewees is ranked sixth in kills per set (2.75) and seventh in points per set (3.3). She posted 78 kills, a .133 hitting percentage, 67 digs, and 11 service aces in the eight conference matches.

In addition to her honorable mention selection, Dewees is Bryn Athyn's representative on the All-CSAC Sportsmanship Team. To be named to the All-CSAC Sportsmanship Team, an individual on each team that best exemplifies the qualities of sportsmanship.

Cliney solidified the middle of the court as she led the team with 31 total blocks (14 solo, 17 assisted). She added 107 kills, which was second on the team, and a CSAC-best .296 hitting percentage. Cliney is ranked seventh in the conference with .58 blocks per set. She had a career-high 11 kills against Cedar Crest on Sept. 29 and 10 kills and a career-best four total blocks (3 solo, 1 assisted) at Gwynedd Mercy on Sept. 22.

Lombardi has been one of the top setters in the CSAC, ranking third in the league with 6.65 assists per set. The 6.65 assists per set are the third most in program history. She has pitched in defensively with 149 digs—the fourth most on the team. Lombardi posted a team-high five double-doubles during the season. Lombardi had a career-high 38 assists against Rosemont on Oct. 4 and a career-best 13 digs at Gwynedd Mercy on Sept. 22.
