MADISON, N.J. – The Bryn Athyn College field hockey team suffered a 6-0 loss to Drew University in its final non-conference game of the season Wednesday night.
Alisha Parnell—making her first start in goal since facing Wilson on Oct. 7—recorded eight saves on 14 shots on goal.
Katherine Halle became the program's career leader in defensive saves after a three-defensive save performance against the Rangers increased her total to 11, all coming this season. Teammate Eve Miller was the previous record holder with 10.
Drew (3-15) had five different players score during the contest.
The Rangers scored three times in the first quarter, starting with a Madyson Griswold goal 28 seconds into the contest. April Serratelli recorded the first of her two goals to increase the lead to two and was followed up by a Casey Quinn goal.
Jinah Cappuccino notched the Rangers' goal in the second quarter as she scored on a rebound after a save by Parnell on a Sami Strathern shot.
Serratelli struck again 5:21 into the second half with a shot from the left side of the arc for her second goal of the night and the fifth Ranger goal.
Amber Frikkee put Drew's final goal on the board just before time expired in the fourth.
Bryn Athyn (1-12) wraps up 2019 with a Colonial States Athletic Conference matchup against Cedar Crest on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.
