BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's basketball team will take on Division I Drexel University in an exhibition game as a prelude to the 2018-19 season on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. in the Daskalakis Athletic Center.
While the game will serve as a preseason tune-up for the Lions, it will be the Dragons' regular season home opener and fourth game of the campaign. Ticket information will be made available at a later date.
This will be the fourth straight season that Bryn Athyn will take on a Division I opponent. Last season, the Lions were upended by NJIT 99-53 in Newark, N.J. Rahim Washington paced the Bryn Athyn offense with 16 points. Bryn Athyn squared off with the University of Delaware during the 2016-17 season and Princeton University in 2015-16.
Bryn Athyn is coming off of a 9-16 season in 2017-18. The Lions return eight playing from last year's team, including All-North Eastern Athletic Conference third team selection Washington—who finished third in the conference with a team-high 18.5 points per game. Lamarr Crenshaw was second on the team with 15.1 points per game and led the team with 6.2 rebounds per game.
Drexel went 13-20 and made the quarterfinal round of the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament a season ago. The Dragons return two starters from last year, Kurk Lee and Alihan Demir.
