Bryn Athyn Hires New Head Coach for Men’s Soccer Program

Lions begin varsity season in the fall of 2011

Bryn Athyn College has hired Robin Cooper as their next head coach of the men's soccer program. Cooper has spent the past five seasons as the assistant coach with the men's soccer program at Bryn Athyn, helping to guide the program to a ESSL Championship in 2010.

"I am thrilled about the opportunity to coach at Bryn Athyn, and I am excited about the challenge I have of building a varsity program from the ground up." Cooper said, "I guarantee that my student-athletes and I will give our best to Bryn Athyn."

"Robin's commitment to our mission made him the obvious choice to lead our program. Director of Athletics Matt Kennedy said, "He has an ability to attract right student-athlete to Bryn Athyn from his own experiences with the college."

Bryn Athyn enters their first season as a varsity program in the fall of 2011. Cooper commented, "-We're going to have to challenge ourselves this year, both in practices and in games.  The level of competition is going to be tougher, so we'll have to work hard for success, but I expect that we will be able to dedicate ourselves and prove our worth."

The Bryn Athyn soccer team begins play in their first varsity season on September 10, when they take on Christendom at home at 1pm.
