Lions end non-conference play with home loss to Immaculata
 

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's soccer team was defeated by visiting Immaculata, 5-0, in the Lions final non-conference contest of the season Wednesday night on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.

Immaculata (4-7-1) got on the board 5:06 into the contest on a corner kick. The ball fell to Will Helm who had his shot blocked. Alex D'Angelo was the recipient of a fortunate ricochet and tucked the ball into the lower-left corner.

Alex Potter scored the second goal on a free kick at 16:55 by firing a shot from 20 yards away that found the upper left corner of the goal.

Bryn Athyn keeper DJ Eldridge came up huge at the 17:58 mark of the half as he stopped a penalty kick to keep the gap at two. Connor Lindsay attempted the penalty, going low to Eldridge's right. Eldridge was able to get down and keep the ball of out the net. It was one of four saves that he made before leaving the contest at halftime.

Nick Boule recorded the third goal 11:18 into the second half with an assist from Potter. Potter played a pass through the Bryn Athyn penalty area and Boule found room back across the net from a very tight angle for the goal.

John Bohrer was responsible for the fourth goal after collecting a loose ball in front of the net at 64:26. Alpha Diallo scored the final goal with 11 minutes left with a 35-yard shot.

Tristan Tyree and Michael Haas split the second-half goalkeeping duties for the Lions and each made two saves. For Immaculata, Mikey Kalpokas recorded two stops.

Bryn Athyn (0-10-0) heads to Clarks Summit for a Colonial States Athletic Conference game on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 4 p.m.
