Lions shutout by visiting Cairn

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's soccer team suffered a 4-0 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) to visiting Cairn University Saturday afternoon on General Ronald K. Nelson Field.

Cairn (7-5-1, 3-0-0 CSAC), led by two Geon Jung goals, recorded a pair of goals in each half.

Josiah Nistorenko broke the scoreless deadlock with an unassisted goal at the 26:50 mark of the first half. Jung scored first half goal with 3:48 left in the half to double the Cairn advantage.

After a scoreless 25 minutes to begin the second half, Jung found the back of the net for the second time at 70:05. Just over eight minutes later, Hunter Martinez scored Cairn's final goal.

Bryn Athyn keeper Michael Haas stopped seven shots. The Highlanders' Kameron Clark made three saves, all in the second half.

Christian Smith had two of the Lions' three shots on goal, while Matheus Chaves had the other.

Bryn Athyn (0-13-0, 0-4-0 CSAC) hosts the College of Saint Elizabeth in a CSAC match on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. on General Nelson Field.
