ABINGTON, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College men's cross country team competed in the Penn State Abington Invitational Saturday morning at Lorimer Park.
For the second straight week, Tanner Congdon was the Lions' top runner as he set another course personal best. Congdon completed Saturday's 8-kilometer course in a time of 36 minutes, 32.7 seconds to take 53rd overall in the 92-runner field. Congdon's previous best time at Lorimer Park was 36:40.0, which he posted on in last year's Invitational on Sept. 22, 2018.
Isaac Syre came home in 62nd place after running the course in 37:57.4. Justin Rallo put up a time of 43:21.6 seconds to take 81st place.
Penn State Abington's Benjamin Hoyer was the race winner with a first-place time of 28:15.7. Ursinus placed all five of its scoring runners in the top-9 to take the team title with 25 points.
Bryn Athyn's next competition is the Aggies Cross Country Open, hosted by Delaware Valley University, on Saturday, Sept. 21.
