Women's basketball tripped up at Cedar Crest in CSAC debut

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Lauren Beck recorded 11 points and a game- and career-high 16 rebounds for the Bryn Athyn College women's basketball team in a 62-37 loss to Cedar Crest College in the Lions' Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) debut Wednesday.

Beck played all 40 minutes for the Lions and shot 5-of-12 from the field and added four of the team's 11 steals. Allie Warren recorded nine points, while Alisha McKnight and Clayshonia Cogmon each grabbed six rebounds.

Geminii Cabrera paced Cedar Crest (2-5, 1-0 CSAC) with a game-high 19 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and one steal. Jada Garrett added 15 points and eight rebounds and Meghan Gregory came of-the-bench to contribute 10 points and nine rebounds.

Cedar Crest shot 39.3 percent (22-of-56) from the field and 61.1 percent (11-of-18) at the free throw line, while Bryn Athyn made 21.8 percent (12-of-55) of its shots and 62.5 percent (10-of-16 of its free throws. The Falcons owned a 41-34 rebounding advantage.

After four straight games away from home, Bryn Athyn (0-5, 0-1 CSAC) returns to Asplundh Field House to take on Keystone College in a CSAC clash on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m.
