ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Bryn Athyn College women's tennis team placed three singles players and a pair of doubles teams on to the All-Colonial States Athletic Conference women's tennis team that was announced by the conference office Thursday.
Representing Bryn Athyn on the singles side are Marie Daum and Nora Connelly, who were selected to the All-CSAC second team, and Christine Daum, who was an honorable mention selection. On the doubles side, Marie Daum and Connelly earned a place on the second team and the duo of Christine Daum and Anwyn Brock were tabbed honorable mention.
Marie Daum—a two-time all-conference player after being named All-North Eastern Athletic Conference second team in 2018—recorded a pair of singles wins during conference play as the Lions' No. 1 player. She picked up a straight-sets win at Rosemont and an 8-1 win over Notre Dame. She was also Bryn Athyn's representative on the CSAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Connelly is tied for the team lead in CSAC singles wins with three. She has wins at No. 2 singles at Keystone, against Clarks Summit, and at Notre Dame (Md.).
Christine Daum went 4-2 against the conference playing in the No. 3 spot in the Bryn Athyn lineup. She picked up wins against Keystone, Clarks Summit, Cairn, and Notre Dame. She leads the team in overall wins with five.
The tandem of Marie Daum and Connelly were Bryn Athyn's top doubles team throughout the season and racked up conference wins against Rosemont, Clarks Summit, and Notre Dame. Christine Daum and Brock also recorded three wins in CSAC play this year against Keystone, Rosemont, and Notre Dame while playing at No. 3 doubles.
Bryn Athyn is 3-7 overall and 3-3 against the CSAC. The Lions are the fourth seed for the CSAC Tournament and will face top seed Cairn in the semifinals on Saturday, April 27 at 9:30 a.m.
